Story Tale: Patience's Little Mishap

Chapter 6: Inattentive Leena

~~

As I noted in the last chapter, there was another person dealing with another negotiation (which, in a similar manner, wasn't going as planned). But lets get to the dirt of it before getting to this scene.

Lets now introduce you to one more important character in this story. Leena the Really Giddy Witch is a petite girl with short raven hair and always wore one piece short dresses. Not the traditional 'Wicked Witch of the West' kind of dress, just the modern one piece dress that petite girls wear.

As her title suggests, Leena was a very bubbleheaded person, spreading her joy like a disease. She liked making people happy--her job as Witch in the small town of Vacillaite made her an instant celebrity.

Her stardom rocketed to the point where she got her own mansion, complete with the Captain of the Guards protecting her, along with three others. (Studbot, Grimsley, and Rife, just for extra good measure).

Unfortunately, not everyone liked what popular opinion liked. Leena's popularity reached the ears of a certain individual of greatest importance. Why am I pointing the attention to this man, when really, I should be paying attention to Leena, or hell, back to Patience and the group she just made accidentally?

Well pay attention and you'll know.

His name was Sol, first of all.

Sol was a man that grew in the hopes that he would become a force to be reckoned with. That didn't happen, since he was also born in a poor family in the outskirts of Vacillate.

He also had a personality of a greedy king. He wanted everything, and so asked himself this question.

How could some girl like innocent Leena, take the royalties that he deserved?

He started learning the Dark Arts when he studied at the town's local library. In Sol's mind, a plan was stirring to make Leena's true monsters come out and for his glory to bloom and flourish. Sol's mind became a greed filled mind in short.

Greed turned into corruption as Sol quietly took the job of a working servant in Leena's household. Corruption turned into chaos as one day he took Leena off guard by asking her out on a date.

Kinda gross, right? A 20-something year old man, asking a 16 year old witch, out?

it was all part of the plan of vanquishing her out of Vacillaite, of course.

Didn't we mention that she was also protected by the Captain of the Guards and three others, Studbot, Grimsley and Rife?

Like everyone else in this story, they ALL had a problem (why they didn't get them fixed, is beyond me)

Pooma, the Captain of the Guards, was a ferocious, gigantic man, with shoulders that could clothe a mountain and hands that could wrench a sumo under its death grip. His glare scared everyone, so being the Guard of the Giddy Witch proved to be a good occupation for him. But everyone in the town of Vacillaite knew him as the Very Scary Captain of the Guards (since they couldn't think of anything ELSE to call him).

Studbot, the eldest of the three guards, was a swift fighter and a mature individual who looks out for his other allies. The only problem he seems to have, well...He gets confused EASILY over orders, over compliments, over simple tasks such as asking a question. This sometimes makes him an easy target in written tests. Thus, his title was the Confused Guard.

Grimsley, the middle guard, is a very loyal man that keeps his duty before his life. But unfortunately, such a personality leads a sad life, so Grimsley was a very sad man since the time he joined the Guard Army. His title was given as the Bumble Guard.

But the most saddest excuse in this threesome group of guards was the last, and youngest member, Rife. He is a firecracker kind of man, always acting rebellious from orders of his captain and his two other superior officers. This kind of behavior proved to be his Achilles Heel, as he just didn't CARE about his guarding job. He didn't take his job as seriously as his other allies, making his title the worst piece of pride to behold: The Guard Who Can't Guard.

All four of these guards, though with their strengths, ultimately didn't understand what the true motives of Sol's plans were.

Now, back to that twisted date. How DID he pull it off, you say?

He convinced Studbot that there was a fire in one part of the town. He left Studbot wondering which part.

He reassured Grimsley that Leena had told the guards to take a break, since she saw Grimsley's state and wanted him to 'get better.' Grimsley thanked Sol for the condolences.

And then Rife wasn't around for Sol to deal with. Clumsy guard.

Sol reached Leena's quarters, where the Witch was playing some video games. Nearby, Pooma was counting the bloodstains on his tattered trenchcoat.

With a twisted smile, Sol raised his hand in introduction.

Following that, a loud boom was heard in the mansion.

Pooma had fainted from a fatal internal injury in his chest. Nobody in the town couldn't figure who did it.

But nobody expected Sol. He was never a popular one in the first place, but here he was, being a really badass villain about it. Lets just call him that now.

Sol the Really Badass Villain, took Leena away from Vacillaite Town, and kidnapped her in someplace far away from the reverting eyes. He locked her away in a lonely tower in the highest mountain, away from the warmth of the sun and the earth, and left her there to fend for herself. He then returned to Vacillaite to overtake it as their corrupted leader.

Leena, in the meantime, was, as I stated, in a negotiation. With herself.

She didn't know where to turn. She didn't know how to turn. In the whole time staying in the tower, which was for a long while, she was a witch, so she could live as young as she want, it made the loneliness consume her.

She needed help... She wanted to make at least somebody happy. Herself even, but she was too lonely to do so.

And then, we go back to Patience and the gang.
